Resurrections drain the life force [defense value] of the noble thus
saved. That should discourage repeated use.

The way you describe resurrection as _should be_ working [the Rules
way] means that if I have lost a 5NP noble, and have no priest or
insufficiant NP to do the resurrection myself, some EXTREMELY generous
ally needs to pony up 5 of his NP to save _my_ noble.

This does not foster inter-player cooperation. What it does foster is
having players opening dummy accounts via, say, hotmail or yahoo.com.
Then an exitsing faction let's this newbie bribe away a FEAR or CONTRACT
priest. This newbie faction does the resurrections, losses the NPs,
but the "saved" nobles still belong to the "real" player.

Makes me wonder if this was the other method one player was talking
about on the list awhile ago, and if Rich has put a stop to all
resurrections while he looks for a way to stop it.

If so...and I am only guessing, I have not communicated with Rich on
this, and know of no one who has, so don't read my words into Rich's mouth
please...then one or two cheaters are mucking up the game for the rest of
us.
I am not calling cheaters those who try things, find bugs, and report them
to Rich. I am calling cheaters those persons who play multiple factions.
