There's a small advantage to having the castle inside the city -- it can't
be attacked with lightning. It also gets defended by the city garrison.
Me, I built my castle inside a city in a mountain province. :-)
Ditto for inns. If you are planning on being an absentee landlord, building
an inn in the province means savages will quickly dismantle it. An empty
in inside a city with a garrison is much more durable.
