I am glad, I was begining to think that
a) it was just me
b) my communication skills (never that good)
had completely packed it in.

I don't buy it. It's not a feature unless it's documented. Or at least
doesn't conflict with the documentation. Which says:
"Characters are not able to see into inner locations without going
into them"
It does not say :
"Characters are able to see into some locations like caves but
not others like sewers."
And they(the rules) speciffically give an example of not seeing
into a structure (an inn)
I think this is a bug (undocumented feature) that everyones just
gotten used to.
People, are used to it now, maybe even like it, you say?. Well
fine, but how about list of what can be seen into (and not) so that
those of us who are new to the game can know how thing work too.
