The second comment is correct. The first comment is wrong, but you
should be able to see how the behavior of the 2nd comment could lead
to someone thinking that the 1st comment was true. In short, the trade
bug is cosmetic, and just because you see a buy/sell doesn't mean that
the good is still being produced or consumed. But the expiration timer
does tick from the month the good is first created; it's just hard to see
when it goes "Ding!"
