A little more research is needed here my friend. Check the posted death
rate and then figure what you can expect. You will find that beasts die
under your care on a regular basis. If your death rate is low, then you
have few beasts, etc.

I've been travelling with large numbers of beasts, and only once in a great
while do I lose animals. But it does happen.....<wasting my breath>
