But as the land the is limited so is the number of traderoutes. And if everyone
starts using trade properly, they will cut into each others profits making trade even
more costly (as it is now in the real world). There will certainly be inflation, is
exists in any game where you can develop. The huge amount of gold you made at the
beggining of the game will be nothing but pocket change later on... but it will
stabilize or even drop as the world becomes more and more developed and isolated
traderoutes start getting hard to comeby.

Most forms of economic raiding only take direct influence in the future. If not,
every attackant would be at an advantage, where normally it is the other way around.
Also, your comment about armies of virtually any size is amusing. Even with the
current amount of money being generated (which I predict that as time goes it will be
less and less) I would like to see you supply an army of 10000 men for an indefinite
amount of time.

Not to mention that everyone can use an established traderoute (altough there
might be some reprisals if you mess with the wrong one), where not everyone can hold
a castle as land seems to be growing short.
