I supposed this post is a sarcastic comment on the recent "I'll quit"
statement by
some LotC members in the times.
Let's look at it shall we
1. The big difference between G1 and G2 is the fact that NP can never be
fully lost in G2 (at least they weren't supposed to), this means that
besides paying for turns you also pay for NPs, so you could say
you lost something payed for, in that aspect the claim is fair
enough.
2. The bug is fixed! Or so they tell me. This goes to Richs credit. First
you
stop the accident, the cleaning up of the mess isn't that important.
3. It's a mess checking who was cheated and who wasn't. (I work with data-
bases everyday, and bugs in historical data are a pain) Someone
might even wan't to claim higher losses than is true, so might do so
unintentionally, as they cannot count, who knows? This takes time,
and Rich clearly states that this is no bug free environment in his
advertisment, so we are forewarned.
4. It's been a long time since these people asked for compensation, a very
long time, and still nothing has happened.
5. Mailing in the news and threatening seemed somewhat harsh. But as
Rich has some 1500 unread mails at any one time (he claimed
at one time in this group) and as he doesn't follow discussions
here that often (with the flame wars going on at times who can
blame him) the times IS the logical place to complain. Threathen
to quit though, I don't know.
