You can spare me the philosophy lesson.
Suffice it to say that PLATO is a collective, and when dissent occurs,
we talk it out. With a small group, that works. I certainly can't
*force* my allies to do anything; I have fewer men than they do.
This is how I've been playing many-player pbm games for the past 17
years. You must have run into some really awful allies if you don't
play this way.
