Yes but Olympia has almost no ways of information moving around
without player action. If an aliiance is marching a 1300 man army
along his side of the border I have no way of knowing unless I send a
noble over. No rumours, no traders spreading gossip, no peasants
fleeing the horde of rapacious soldiers (armies don't only pillage
the enemy provinces you know).

Half the time you don;t know if a large comabt takes place in a city
in your knigdom unless you happen to have a noble there.

I see the lists as our equvalent of rumours and wandering bards
spreading tales of our accomplishments. (Yes it's friday night again)

OK I reread that last sentance and I'm stopping now
