Basil,
Unless I missed a message to the list I never saw the original emal from
Ronny to Greg...this begs the question of why Greg responded to it publicly
and why we're talking about it on the list.

I think what Ronny was trying to say (and Ronny, if you're out there please
let me know if I'm mischaracterizing your position) is that if you can't be
civil, don't respond. I agree with you that Greg's response was not
particularly uncivil (I've seen MUCH worse!) but I think it's a fair
characterization to say it was hardly friendly. This begs the question that
if Greg, or anybody else, has such disdain for players that don't read the
rules, why answer? I agree that the orginal poster should have been able to
answer his own question by looking at the rules and that's why I didn't
bother responding. If you or Greg feel the same way, why respond? It
appears that Greg was going out of his way to make a snide response to an
innocent (albeit unwarrented) question. If it bothers you or Greg so much
that "dumb" questions appear on the list, ignore them. Why jump at the
chance to belittle another player?
