Since the beginning of the war TIB has attempted to maintain neutral and has
said on many occasions that we will not get involved unless we are directly
attacked or otherwise drawn into the conflict. Regretably this has come to
pass.
In the most recent Times TIB declared the noble Asophe an outlaw for the theft
of a ship in Drassa. Since that declaration our intellegence services have
uncovered more information about this noble and his operation and most
importantly, discovered links between him and other incidents that have taken
place in and around TIB territory. Incidents that we thought were unrelated
have been proven to be parts of a whole...a larger plot against TIB.
The noble Asophe is a Borg noble and is part of the Borg contingent in Drassa.
The noble Asophe and 2 other nobles, Tallfellow [b989] and Thurstan [a284],
have been positively linked to the Borg Mercenary Company and are all
suspected of ship theft in TIB military ports. Further, the nobles
Tallfellow and Thurstan were transported to the "scenes of the crime" by
Rimmon Musketeer vessels. It is our conclusion based on this and other
evidence that the Borg are working for the Musketeers in the planned
elimination of the TIB navy, much as they are doing for the Musketeers v.
LotC.
Further, for the last 8-10 turns TIB has observed large Musketeer stacks
mustering within 5 provinces of the TIB/Musketeer border. We had been
informed in the past by Musketeer leadership that these stacks were bound for
war with LotC. This turn our intelligence agencies report that these stacks
moved west, toward out border, and will cross the border next turn.
It is the considered opinion of TIB that these incidents represent an obvious
intent by the Rimmon Musketeers, and their Borg lackeys, to wage war against
TIB. We invite the Musketeer leadership to drop their veils of friendship
and to declare their war openly so it can be fought honorable and correctly.
Pending some sort of MASSIVE clarification from the Rimmon Musketeers, all
should consider a state of war to exist between TIB alliance and the
Musketeers. We offer Borg a chance to remove themselves from this fray by
publicly renouncing their ties and contract with the Musketeers. We also
require that all Borg nobles immediately leave TIB territory for the duration
of our conflict with the Musketeers. Failure to do so will result in a state
of war being declared between TIB and Borg.
As we have no indication that other nations were involved in this "plot" our
declaration does not extend to the Musketeer allies. NO STATE OF WAR EXISTS
BETWEEN TIB AND PLATO.
TIB has remained neutral for 100 turns and has stood for peace, honor and
justice since the beginning of time. Some have seen our desire for peace as a
weakness, some as a strength. We in TIB knew that it was only a matter of
time before some nation tested our mettle and we are dismayed and hurt that it
was the Musketeers who have taken up arms against us.
We now call on all we have aided throughout the years. Both large alliances,
and single independant factions, to help us now in this dark time. If you
have ever considered yourself a friend of TIB, join us on the battle field now
and help us defend that which we all hold so sacred. TIB will win this war.
Tyranny will be defeated. Peace will again reign.
Somebody has made a big mistake.
