Except, of course, for those of us who do not use Win9x. My wife got
Happy99 and all it did was e-mail itself to everyone she sent messages to.
Not what she would have called a virus -- she got the Monkey virus back in
college and it removed her hard drive from the BIOS right before her big
project was due. She uses WinNT and she tried to send Happy99 to me...
however I use OS/2, and who writes viruses for OS/2? I wanted to see if it
would affect Lotus Notes (which I use). So far I've been fine.

Subject: virus

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have received a virus for two different players and wish to tell
everyone that to please be careful when opening and downloading there
mails, I
am in no way accusing them of sending them just telling all to be on the
look
out for a virus call HAPPY99EXE please take note that this virus will wipe
out
your system.

Thank you,
Lord Alexander
