SFW, Fast Study and Death by Illness

One of my noble was attacked by Savages, hurt badly and became ill. His health
dropped to under ten before I managed to rescue him, so the fact that he is in
an inn does him little good now. I have enough fast study days left to have him
learn survive fatal wounds before he takes another health hit on day seven. My
question: will this save him?
