Actually, you may not have lost the NPs yet.
You can attempt to bribe the noble back into your faction, or, you can attack
him and then terrorize him (although you risk killing him....)

The bug is that if the noble dies, you lose the NP. I know. I had it happen
to me and it ticks me off too.
I understand Andrew's frustration with the movement bug, but I think that bug
was minor compared to this one. Afterall, NPs are the lifeblood of this game.
Many of the changes from g1 to g2 were an effort to protect factions from ever
losing NPs. Now we have found a bug that can (and has) cost a faction one or
more NPs and nothing is being done about it.

Rich, if you're listening, this bug needs to be fixed and the parties that
have lost NPs because of it should receive compensation of some sort. If you
can't return the lost NP, then give some claim gold or fast study points or
something. It just seems that this bug flies in the face of all the changes
made to g2 and should have been fixed as soon as it was found out.
