If he terrorizes or bribes, won't he pay the NP's again????? The noble is
independant, it's not his, so it's like terrorizing from another faction
with a surrender? Same effect?

Or the prisoner/movement bug to give you another example.

Claim gold or fast study are not even close a compensation. An extra noble
means more than the once gained fast study or the claim gold. Just figure it
out what a single noble could earn for you each turn? Let's say 800 gold
with a trade route at least? The only compensation is regaining th lost NP's
or a heck of a lot claim gold/studypoints.
