quick note,
this not being my war and all......

But LotC's supposed violation of Harn's border had nothing to do with the
Yellowleaf accord. The violations occured BEFORE the accord and the involved
parties (LotC & Noire Immortalius <sp?>) came to an agreement on their own.
Harn wasn't even mentioned in the final draft of the Accord.

As for the violations on the IC border....there was never any mention of these
violations by the Illustrated Man until his declaration of war. This seems
odd and out of character for him. Usually, IM is willing to handle things
diplomatically. If LotC violated his border, why didn't he mention it on the
list? or the Times? or to the gcoa council? Of course he isn't required to,
but a notification of the violation, followed by diplomatic resolution seems
more in line with the Illustrated Man's MO.

IM has always been honest, and I would never accuse him of creating an issue
to justify war, but his most recent actions have been contrary to the
Illustrated Man of the past.

So, Arrrr, of the 2 violations of the Accord you cite as justification:
the first had nothing to do with Yellowleaf.
the second is, as of this writing, unfounded rumor.

On the other hand, Plato landing troops in the region would be a direct
violation of the Accord - in both spirit and letter - and would certainly seem
to be justification for other alliances to treat the accord with the same
respect and regard Plato has shown it. Namely; none.

back to your regularly scheduled debate........
