Everyone knows it's there? Four new players joined on turn 61, Do
they all know? Not everyone in the game reads this mailing list.

Pardon me, but your ignorance is showing. There was no beta or
playtest for g2. The closest thing to that would have been g1, which
didn't have the movement penalty for large stacks.
> The problem should have been corrected on turn 20, but wasn't.
Yes, it should have been. But if it's left in, then the entire concept
of large groups slowing movement should be scrapped. It's stupid for
the rule to only half work. It should be fixed.

TAG is not the next step after g2. It was built from the g1 engine,
and doesn't currently implement a *lot* of g2 rules, including this
one.
We're not talking about changing a rule, we're talking about fixing a
bug. People who base their long term strategy on exploiting a bug
are taking the risk that the bug will be fixed.

I don't know. I wasn't exploiting the bug when I was coordinating the
raids that had the Illustrated Man screaming about his lost
garrisons, and that killed Cernennos (my apologies to the
Illustrated Mand and to Cernennos' next of kin for bringing up those
unfortunate incidents). War is certainly possible, you just have
to think a bit about how to do it. I find that having to think a
bit makes Olympia more interesting.
