Workers Suggestions

Mike Wallace makes the following suggestions for discussion:

Why not allow nobles to convert peaseants into workers, then into
craftsmen? They would furnish a small amount in income/tariff taxes
(say one gold per 10). Allow them to be convertable to soldiers as
needed (make it expensive - must replace lost income of family).

Are safehavens owed by players, do they control the markets? If a
safehaven does not have a garrison, can I build one (10 soldiers)and
transfer it to city? How can you not allow a noble to be attacked or
cast magick without a garrison? Garrison needed to allow nobles to
stack with for gold.

If you can claim gold anywhere, why can't you put it away in unclaimed?
Like a savings account for all nobles of that faction. I know you don't
want to allow items to "reverse" claim. It would allow a noble to buy
in one place and claim in another (this would negatively affect the
advanced magick skills).

But gold being allowed to be "unclaimed" (placed in safe keeping) would
allow letters of credit to faraway lands & discourage plunder...

Let me know,

Mike (Crimson Cross pp4)
