The Olympia turn checker!
It's a Toon Thing!
This marvel of the midevil age reads in turn commands, checks syntax, and prints out an english version of the commands for easy checking. No longer will you buy 5 of 6 instead of 6 of 5. It also does reasonability checks (ie. you can't buy Osswid, and you can't terrorize a rug).
Binaries for Next, Vax, Sparc, Decstation and Sun3 machines running UNIX are available from shrimp.cs.washington.edu in pub/olympia. Source code is NOT available, so don't ask.
Comments/questions/bug reports to hauck@cs.washington.edu.
Note: For bug reports, please include the line that triggered the bug, and the output the checker gave.

"What do you mean you didn't get my orders? I send them off long ago!!!"
Damn! No matter how much planning you do, you can always count on MUrphy to poke his nose where it don't belong!!!! My poor innocent turn sheet picked up some noise while traversing the net, thus confusing the poor, overworked, Atnerks Command Engine (ACE). Olympians beware!
Oh, while I'm here.... What happened to Our Man Oleg's map of portions of new Island? I seemed to recall reading him saying 'E was going to post some of it.....
Just looking at Olympia's costing vs. income scenario, it has become extremely obvious to me that only the larger factions stand a chance of survival! I have a small family of loyal followers, and as such we are finding it very difficult to make ends meet. It would be much fairer for all if the income due to manual labour increased to 2 gps per man pre day, or at least a max of 2 gps per day, if the loyaltys are high, and a taxation penalty imposed on the large factions. We call for greater penalties on the rich! Presently the poor are lost while the rich get richer!
Join the cause of the down-trodden, and call for fairness to all!

Oleg the Loudmouth is proud to announce the Lore Archive, Version 4. We are now missing only a couple of lore sheets, and know most of the subskill numbers and the levels at which they are received. Be the first player on your block to own this valuable collection -- send in those boxtops and electrons today!
If you have the lore that we know we're missing (construction 7&8, shipbuilding 8, Summon Undead (2), Change Men to Orcs), I'd love to have a copy. I'll be sure to hand them to Milikanthos, along with the fact that [29] is yew and isn't in his turn checker yet. :-)

Hitomi leaned over the deck, retching. She still wasn't used to the churning waves of the Olympian seas and her East Urvil upbringing showed when she lurched across the deck, stumbling towards the forequarters. Her liege and employer, Briareos Hecatoncheires, had given her the mission of bringing back a small but crucial batch of supplies and goods from Pesbrand not available in the Midlands, so she had been assigned to this, the maiden voyage of the Pallas Athena. Desiring to present a more dignified image to the passengers and crew, she straightened up, and felt the waves of nausea begin to recede, not due to any sudden panacea, but because the ship had stopped its violent pitching. Looking about, she saw that the mainsails had been furled and that the ship had banked out of the swift gulf current. "We're still in the Aedreas Sea," she thought,"and weeks out of Pesbrand. What the bloody nass is the captain doing?!" She stormed off to the captain's quarters and barged in. "Why have we stopped? I was told to return to North Atnos as swiftly as possible." Only the fact that Captain Guges was Briareos' brother and a powerful person in his own right held back her anger. "We're stopping because the passangers want to whale watch."* *(read "I botched my move orders." "WHALE WATC "WHALE WATCHING!!" "Yes, well since"the wages have dropped so drastically and sending this ship out costs money and reduces the amount of workers in our cadre, so we decided to rent ourselves out as as sightseeing tour. Whale watching is very trendy now." .... Muttering under her breath, Hitomi rummaged through the sea chests in her cabin looking for a good, stout harpoon...
