Unfortunately due to the financial pressures associated with guardianship
if Caburh, the opening of the newly refurbished guild tower [3305] will not
take place until the 20th day of Harvest, and will be incorporated with the
annual Harvest Festival. Delf the Trader apologises for any inconvinces

clippers, schooners and galleys. If you are interested please contact

The Olympia turn checker!
So round, so firm, so fully packed!
This marvel of the midevil age reads in turn commands, checks
syntax, and prints out an english version of the commands for easy
checking. No longer will you buy 5 of 6 instead of 6 of 5. It also
does reasonability checks (ie. you can't buy Osswid, and you can't
terrorize a rug).
Binaries for Next, Vax, Sparc, Decstation and Sun3 machines running
UNIX are available from shrimp.cs.washington.edu in pub/olympia. Source code
is NOT available, so don't ask.

General Ramblings from the Road

Peace seems to rule the lands. Occaisonal highwaymen roam the provinces
hijacking and ransoming passersby, but nothing too drastic. The orcs and
savages have mainly disappeared after a couple of major attacks. The Trolls
are being systematically butchered as fast as they appear. The evil
villians of the past appear to have died or have reformed.
Occaisonal outbreaks of the plague threaten to spread and become an even
greater threat, but its full results may not yet have been seen.
Are the Gods resting on their laurels, or are there greater challenges still
waiting in outer regions, about to leap forth to kill, maim, pillage and
do all the other exciting things that fewer players seem willing to try ?
A reward is offerred, 1000 gold to the first individual who can prove a
sighting of a Dragon, a Medusa or a true Sea Monster !
Brothers and Sisters !
I call upon you all to rise up and rebel against the chains that drag you
down. Challange and smash the tyrants who rule with their armies and their
gold.
The oltimers, Prenola, Derek Holyblast, Rocko, D'Arc Shadowborn and
similiar others from the old days who staked their claim on this land
first should NOT be allowed to ride rough shod over the later arrivals.
Does their first born startings mean they are better than we ??
NO !! Tear them down from their pedastals and distribute their wealth and
their power amongst all humanity that ALL can share in the benefits.
Destroy their empires ! Burn down their factions and followers so that ALL
are equal ! Find them wherever they hide and crush them all !!

'Where'd that damn tent pole come from?'
I guess this is one good reason not to read 'The Olympia Times' while pacing
ones tent. Another reason may be that there is nothing interesting to read!
Well, maybe thats not quite true, I mean there is an interesting article
calling for a bounty on our Great Snitch, Oleg the Loudmouth. An interesting
thing, really, when you then notice that Our Man Oleg is attempting to spread
information others would prefer to keep secret!
Personally, I feel that Oleg is doing a great job! Especially considering the
fact that he isn't getting paid to do it!
Twisted Peaks
A new soapie,
Featuring: Jade, Jack, Judy, Jim, Julia, Justin, Julie, Jason and Bob.
Episode 1. (Pilot, part I)
Jade, an Eastern girl with a passion for men on fast horses, has just
discovered that Jim, a man with a fast horse, has been unfaithful to her (and
his horse). Overcome with anger she sends a messenger boy to Julie, a close
friend, with a note informing her of her intentions to do something drastic.
Meanwhile, back in another town, Jason discovers a letter to his late
parents (YOU try and be punctual using a sundial!) from an unknown
establishment informing them that their request to adopt a child has been
approved, with a footnote scheduling a meeting. The letters postmark being
suspiciously close to his twin brother's birthday makes him believe that he
finally has the information needed to exclude his brother from the estate.
Somewhere, not far away, another flayed corpse rots slowly in a gutter.

After reading about the various failings of the "Dragaeran Turn thingie",
has anyone actually bought(?) one, and felt satisfied? And does it come with
binaries for an HP-9000/370?
Another curious soul.
