Customer Testamonial on behalf of the First Bank of Provinia
Greetings, Provinians! My name's Jack and these are my beans. I'm a trader. I travel Provinia buying and selling the finest beans and linen. How did I get this great career? The First Bank of Provinia gave me a small-business loan. That's how! They have everything a businessman like myself could need: low-interest loans, high interest rates, newbie bonuses, warehouse facilities, shipping services... What else could you ask for?
So take it from me, Jaques et ses Haricots, don't wind up lying in the gutters of Imperial City weaving baskets. Stop by the First Bank of Provinia a call. You'll be glad you did.

Oh darn, and I thought I was being so subtle about it, too.

- The Bank refutes the rumors that have recently been posted. -
Yes. There have been many people who have deposited funds with the Bank. Either as an investment, Long Term Savings plan, or to transfer money between trading factions where the Bank has acted as go-between as the two parties involved desired anonymity.
Yes. There have been people who have withdrawn money from the Bank. With Interest. The Bank - like any other Bank - uses the funds in it's trading base. Hence we can pass on a proportion of the amount invested to it's investors. If you are careful how you invest with the Bank then it can be expected that you will double your investment with 8 game months.
No. The Bank is NOT a faction in itself. If you would care to read old copies of the Times you will find that we are listed (as many people know us) as the Draconian Elite - faction fg4. Why not a seperate faction? Well any Bank is only as good as the people who use it. And Provinia is the most heavily populated part of Olympia. Hence the Bank is ONLY based in Provinia. If the Bank was to be global - I would have called my faction "The First Bank of Olympia".
As for the rumours of breaking legs and knee caps etc. Well those are just glorified accounts written for the 25 gold that the Times pays. We have never yet had to collect on a defaulted loan. As our clients have always paid their way. And Jacques the Bean Trader... well he genuinely is a satisfied customer of the Bank. If you were to spend a little time and find out who his lord is rather than mouthing off, you will find that he is not one of the Bank's agents.
Besides which we won't break knee caps. Too much like hard work. We would just Aura Blast you!!

Rumors
Yellow is the color of cowards! I will find you my friend, and when I do...... I am going to pluck you feathers!
I'm waiting for game 2!
I'm back!!!!
Hey! Brett is not dead. He just left us all to wonder what happened because he felt like it. Get this, he is recruiting for G2. Boy, *I* sure want to sign up with him because of his great record in G1, *not*. The only person I would trust again even less than Brett is Jeremy. I can't wait to see how many fools sign up with these guys.
It is great how this keeps my ship going.
Let the tyrants of Olympia beware! Soon the wrath of the many shall fall upon the few! The Popular Front for the Liberation of Olympia
> But Oleg had the honor of being the first to fall to the > AOO dreadnaught. He was then converted into an AOO type > & was later aura-blasted by the magnificent if somewhat > dead Kaden the hand.
Not quite. I was killed on turn 31 and laid to rest on turn 33. A few of my contract nobles were converted by the AOO and some of those were blasted by Kaden the Hand. But, actually, the AOO as a whole had a net loss of NPs from their attack on me on Tollus; Dr. Pain lost quite a few and the Garden People gained a couple.
I'm glad to see that *someone* remembers me...

What's the matter, can't take a joke?
The Quilters are AOO....
SPOOOON!!!!
Now you're defiling my mage with Necromancy? You bastard!
Insult upon insult.
Hey! BtA! Bet I live longer'n you!
Has the AOO already gained control of G2?
The First Bank of Provinia broke your thumbs and split your knee caps? I'm not impressed. Jaques et ses Haricots slit my nostrils with a rusty spoon then repo'ed my horse. The First Bank of Provinia is bad news my friends. The sheriff should do something about the bank and its hired ruffians.
Kor had fallen asleep in the fields again. A bit too much wine in the afternoon again. It looked like it was well after midnight when he was awaken by the approaching sound of very heavy footsteps. It must of been the last of the wine but the passing shadows reminded him of nothing more than two giant humans carrying a small house between them. And as the shadows receded toward the woods he thought one of them said. "Charng ! Didnt I tell you this was what they meant by a house thief."
Payday again
Again, my apologies. My logistical abilities suck.
