DescriptionST Frontier Fleet is a Star Trek roleplaying game that is played by email (PBeM). Since the game began in 2000, STFF has been a free and high quality game and we have done our best to make roleplaying in a Star Trek environment an enjoyable experience for everyone, and hopefully we will continue to do so for a long time to come. If writing stories, Star Trek, or both, interests you, we hope that you'll enjoy your stay at our website, and we'd love to have you join us! The game's setting: On May 5, 2390, Starfleet christened the USS Calhoun. This experimental Sovereign-class vessel has become Starfleet's prime. It was equipped with the first correctly working transwarp engine. This engine was based on data brought back by the USS Voyager combined with the work of Starfleet's scientists. Voyager's data about the Borg turned out to be most important for having a breakthrough with the design. A day later, on May 6, the USS Calhoun set off for their first mission, setting up tight diplomatic relations with the Talaxians in the Delta Quadrant. In the long term the mission has turned out to be quite successfull, with the Talaxians taking care of building the first Starfleet starbase in the Delta Quadrant. On April 16, 2391, Starfleet finished retrofitting the USS Epimetheus, adding a second transwarp starship to Starfleet. On August 26, 2391, Starfleet decided to take the transwarp experiment to the next level. A fleet of transwarp vessels would be formed under the command of Fleet Admiral Pete Barclay. Part of this fleet would be the already transwarp capable USS Calhoun and USS Epimetheus, and four other ships were selected to be retrofitted with transwarp engines: the USS Atlantis, USS Odyssey, USS Valkyrie and USS Solstice. The main mission of this fleet, under the name Frontier Fleet, is the exploration of the uncharted areas of the galaxy. The USS Solstice is used to maintain the supply line between Pandora Station -the fleet's headquarters- in the Alpha Quadrant and Deep Space Delta One in the Delta Quadrant. |
