DescriptionThe year is 1030 C.E., and Sundaril is at a precipice.
Still reeling from the death of its old king two years ago, now they must wrestle with his heir, Aldrin, attempting to bind Sundaril to its greatest enemy: the nation of Liston. Aldrin's offer is simple: a princess for a princess. A dual marriage would link to the two countries together, he claims, bringing an end to three centuries of conflict.
But not everyone believes that peace is possible between the two nations.
Nobility and commoners alike sneer at the plan, adamant that it will destroy Sundaril. And, yet, many are on the young king's side - a dual marriage would be a sure way pave a peaceful path forward for the coming generations and allow Sundaril to focus on more important things.
As Sundaril finds itself grappling with its very soul, King Aldrin works to find his footing. Will crown and country choose to continue centuries of bloodshed and deception or will they together take the first, tenuous steps towards becoming a peaceful nation?
