DescriptionIn the science-fiction story "Revolt In 2100", Robert A. Heinlein told the story of a theocratic dictatorship taking over America. What if this actually happened? By 2016, the United States has been experiencing secular decline. A new wave of religious revivalism, "The Third Great Awakening", has been sweeping the country, started by a popular television evangelist who headed a large megachurch, the Church of Christian Fellowship. He has a popular television program that is broadcast worldwide. In 2015, the evangelist announces his candidacy for President of the United States and forms a new political party, "The Faith & Values Party of the United States" or "FVPUS". The television evangelist delivers a powerful message to the American people, who immediately unite behind him. On November 3, 2016, he defeats a U.S. Senator from New York and a real-estate billionaire and is elected the forty-fifth President of the United States. And the Faith & Values Party not only has control of the White House. They also gain control of Congress, all fifty state governments, and county and city governments. On January 20, 2017, the new president is elected as are the "Faith & Values Party" candidates. From day one of the new president;s administration, the country changes. Secularism disappears. The Constitution is abolished. Separation of Church and State ends. Other faiths are oppressed. But the American people don't notice. They follow the evangelist and the theocratic dictatorship he sets up. And the evangelist is bearing the rod and the wrath for those who oppose him. The Church of Christian Fellowship becomes the government. The evangelist becomes known as "The Prophet" and his government is called "The Church". But liberty hasn't died in the United States. A small group of Americans are opposed to the religious dictatorship and they band together to form "The Resistance". Led by a young Irish-American woman, the Resistance opposes the Prophet's regime. But the fight won't be an easy one. The American people support the Prophet, collaborators are all over the place, spies are everywhere, and the Prophets secret police and armed forces put down opposition in a brutal fashion. And the Church possesses futuristic, high-tech weaponry manufactured by a defense contractor. But the Resistance will not be deterred. With the aid of allies who are also opposed to the new regime, the Resistance fights a war for freedom against the Prophet and his oppressive theocratic regime. But can they do it? And can they trust their allies, who have their own agendas and motives? And the Church also has allies. Join the fight for freedom! The following positions are available: 1. Resistance Fighter 2.
