DescriptionIn 1943, the US Navy conducted a bizarre experiment to shield ships from radar. Called "The Philadelphia Experiment", this experiment was conducted on a US Navy destroyer in the Norfolk Naval Yards in Virginia, the USS Eldridge. If successful, this experiment could revolutionize naval warfare. But something went horribly wrong and the men who served aboard the Eldridge either vanished into thin air on the decks of the Eldridge or died of a mysterious ailment. After the Philadelphia Experiment, the Navy destroyed all evidence that the experiment had ever happened and the USS Eldridge served in World War II. After the war, she was decommissioned and mysteriously disappeared. Anyone who was involved with the Philadelphia Experiment died under mysterious circumstances. With no evidence that the experiment had ever taken place in existence, the Philadelphia Experiment took its place among conspiracy theories tied to alleged government cover-ups. But that changes when a retired U.S. Navy admiral dies mysteriously and documents surface indicating that "The Philadelphia Experiment" not only happened, but may still be going on. Agents from the "X-Files", the unit of the FBI that investigate strange cases, are brought in to investigate, but the investigation won't be easy as there are forces that seek to stop them. "The Lone Gunmen" join the case as well. Join "The X-Files: Danger From Beyond" as an FBI agent assigned to an "X-Files" investigative team assigned to investigate this strange case and strange characters that join them, and characters associated with "The Philadelphia Experiment". If you're an "X-Files" fan or are a fan of conspiracy theories, join us! |
