Description

Welcome to the newest ESMS game on the internet, and the first known to be based purely on International football. Manage one of the worlds powerhouses from Argentina to Germany in both leagues and cups. Set your teams preseason, and change them during special windows calling up any player who is eligible for the national team and see just how far you can go.

This game has no transfer system, but has a full call up system where you can call up any player who is eligable for your nation, or scout players with a view to calling them up. The game's season is split into 3 parts. Firstly, there is national based leagues (America's, European, and Afrioceasian), after these have finished there is the World Challenge League (does exactly what it says!) and finally, the World Cup. 3 titles each season, with each team having the chance at 2!

Any team can be entered into the league so if a manager joins between competitions, they can request the team of their choice to be added.

Sign up now and keep up to date with the game!

How do our competitions work?

This is quite simple to explain but hard to understand. There are 3 sets of competitions on the IFM, first the Confederational Leagues, then the World Challenge League and finally the FIFM World Cup.

Rankings are worked out each month and it is the rankings that determine the FIFM World Cup seeding.

First competitions in an IFM season are the Confederational Leagues, of which there are 4. As there are 16 European teams in the game, they are split into 2 leagues, with the top 8 ranked teams in the UFE Championship and the bottom 8 ranked teams in the UFE National. There is no promotion or relegation in this league, the bottom teams in the Championship will not necessarily go down to the National, it depends on their rankings AFTER the World Cup. There is also the League of America, which covers both North and South America in which there are 8 representatives and finally the Afrioceasian League, which covers Asia, Oceania and Africa, again 8 representatives.

Points are given for the Confederational Leagues, a win gets 2 points, a draw gets 1 point and a loss gets 0 points. There is also a point given for every 10 goals scored. These points are uniform across all 4 leagues and determine the rankings. After all the games are played the rankings then determine which of the World Challenge Leagues the team goes into.

World Challenge League is a bit different. There are two, World Challenge League A and World Challenge League B, but they don't have any differences between them. The top 4 ranked teams from each confederation go into World Challenge League A and the bottom 4 ranked teams go into World Challenge League B. Teams play each other ONCE. That is the big difference, in the Confederational Leagues they play each other twice, but in the World Challenge League (and the FIFM World Cup) they play each other once. Points are awarded differently here, 5 points for a win, 3 for a draw and 0 for a loss. There is again 1 point given per 10 goals scored.

FIFM World Cup is the final competition. There are 8 groups of 4 teams. Each group has 2 UFE teams, 1 AFA team and 1 AOAF team. The draw for this is very complicated, as teams are seeded into pots, pot 1 has 8 teams, pot 2 has 8 and so on. 2 teams from one pot cannot meet each other in the group stage. This is where the ranking really helps as the higher ranked teams cannot face each other, so get those wins.
