Players will start in ODFL (the Development league) before moving into a more competitive league once they have got to grips with the game. The matches are played at a certain time each week, and a manager must submit lineups (and other tactics) in a match up against other players from around the globe. Matches are watched on a minute by minute 'viewer' and there are both League and Cup formats. New players can be signed (including creating your own names etc!), and trading with other managers is a big (and enjoyable) part of the game. It is a community game, and there are blogs and journals posted by managers who discuss topics of the game or simply ask for advice! This is a fantastic game for anyone who enjoys football and a bit of banter. It can even get quite tense watching the games!
