Premise: Starbase Bravo was built in orbit around Raeya III, far from the comforts of the Alpha Quadrant. Its mission: promote peace, commerce, and liberty in the Raeyan Sector- the crossroads of the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, and a dozen other interstellar powers. Diplomats come to negotiate, merchants come to trade, explorers come to discover, and drifters merely wander through. They have come to Starbase Bravo to forge lasting peace and prosperity, but all also have their own agendas...
Earth Year 2387 has dawned to find that mission now on the brink of failure. The very tensions Starbase Bravo was created to ease are rapidly rising in the face of increasing power struggles amongst the sector's inhabitants. A vast Empire is fractured with the death of its homeworld, scattering its people and changing the political landscape of the Raeyan Sector forever. The Scar, a seething ribbon of spacetime slashed open by a doomed test of a revolutionary propulsion system, drives some mad with the singular desire to enter its maw. Cities of the Ancients, dead and covered in the dust of eons, are suddenly awakening from their long slumber, with purpose unknown. Those sense an opportunity to take advantage of the growing chaos are moving to tip the balance in their favor.
Will conflict tear the Raeyan Sector asunder, or will peace be restored? Who or what lies beyond The Scar? Come join the crew of Starbase Bravo in holding back the fall of night in this troubled expanse.
From the CO: Starbase Bravo is currently aged 17+ forum based game. We strongly emphasize character development and interaction. Most of our players are veterans with years of simm experience, and we are happy to welcome those new to the hobby! Most of our stories are geopolitical and intrigue oriented, but we do have some exploration and discovery aspects as well. The atmosphere of SBB is DS9 meets Babylon 5 meets the new Battlestar Galactica meets H.P. Lovecraft. Things will never be as they seem on the surface and things won't always end well for us. Our characters are ever mindful that this is an area of great strife and our presence is all that stands between peace and total chaos. I'll try to come up with exciting and complex story lines and throw in twists and turns for you along the way, and give the players every opportunity to grow their characters.
