DescriptionIn 2379, Praetor Hiren was assassinated by the Reman Clone of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Shinzon. Subsequently Shinzon himself was defeated in Battle thus leaving a power vacuum. Following this the Federation Council had decided that several governments hostile to Romulan Interests would try and take advantage of such an opportunity. Starfleet then decided on a crash course to prevent such outcomes from happening. Starfleet decided that the races that have the most to gain by a power vacuum are the Klingons, The Breen, The Cardassians and the Lyran Empire. The Federation Council then directed Starfleet Command to attempt to cool the troubled waters from those various governments all seeking to assist in reconstruction of the Romulan Government made possible by Shinzon's death. In an Effort to cool the rising tensions Starfleet decided to dispatch several ships to the various borders to calm things down as well as send a humanitarian relief force to Romulus under the protection of the USS Titan. Starfleet Command looked at the most trouble spots and realized the worst was to come from the Cardassian Union and the Klingon Empire. In response the Federation Starship Monitor, an Intrepid Class starship was to be deployed along the Borderlands between the powers that be, the Phalnax region to ensure that the Cardassians, Klingons & Romulans got along. Now Captain Donald P. Tipton must use caution to prevent the universe from erupting into a bloody mosaic of inter-galactic war while still seeking out new life and new civilizations. The Monitor and her crew must take the high road. "Second Star to the Right & Straight on Til Morning." ------------------------------------------------------- U.S.S.
