And generals of the past didn't understand something and if you commanded your troops instead of them everything would be different? History doesn't know subjunctive! Do you want to see the situation from inside? Then be ready to get disruption of supply due to the disorderly rear instead of triumph of your army. Be ready to get non-shooting cannons without shells, tanks staying without fuel, infantry that retreats without support and commanders who don't know the real situation. Only real GENERAL is able to organize interaction between all parts of difficult mechanism called 'army'. war isn't art and science, war is craft!
