Description* Web based, multi-user system developed using free software solutions * Content Management System (CMS) to allow users to collaborate and communicate in an on line community * Platform and Operating System independent * Open Source to allow modification of "everything" * Turn Based * Multi Side simulation * No Artificial Intelligence (AI). Only Human vs Human play * No PBEM capability, only on line play * Command and Control (C&C) structure allowing delegation in several hierarchical layers * User based roles and rank determine level of freedom in C&C * Level of granularity of each game should be possible to be set, i.e one can either choose to simulate combat and movement on a grand scale, or on a multi layer scale. Battle within a battle concept to the extent that battles are resolved at the most detailed level defined by the scenario and the results are consolidated upwards in the C&C * Logistics, production, economics and politics should be available as options * Technology development should also be optional * Automated, or semi automated During Action and After Action Reporting (DAR and AAR) * Fully flexible creation of maps, scenarios/campaigns, Orders of Battle (OOB) and Tables of Equipment (ToE) possible without "programming". Support tools should be developed in parallel using multiple Open Source projects |
