DescriptionAbstract multiplayer naval combat game on small board with hexagonal regions. Visit islands to collect modules to build more ships. Weapons are guns, torpedoes and marines (boarding). Simple and playable, no claim to realism. Simultaneous movement with sequential combat and building. Some luck, but not enough to win by luck alone! Make informal alliances with other players, or strike out by yourself. (Because allies cannot pool their fleets, it is not easy to gang up on a common enemy.) Ships are built by bolting modules together (at least five, no more than ten). The modules types are ARMOUR, BOUYANCY, ENGINE, GUN, MARINES, TUBE, PRIORITY and STEATH. ARMOUR protects modules from damage by gunfire. BOUYANCY stops a damaged module from sinking the ship. ENGINE contributes to speed between regions. GUN fires shells to damage other ships. MARINES capture other ships by boarding. TUBE fires torpedoes to damage other ships. PRIORITY puts the ship at the front of the queue for attacks and building. STEALTH puts the ship ay the back of the queue for incoming attacks. |
