DescriptionAfter checking out several Firefly PBEM's on the internet I found that either 1.) They were no longer up and running (either that or they were too busy to reply to any of my inquiries.) or 2.) They didn't post in the manner that I was accustomed to. So, I reckoned that I'd just try to start my own PBEM. The 'Verse or Something Like It (aka TVSLI) is a roleplaying game that takes place in Joss Whedon's Firefly universe but we will not meeting up with or writing about the Serenity's crew. We'll have our own ship (the Mariposa) and crew to worry about. The Mariposa (or the "Mary P" as some of the crew have nicknamed her) is a Firefly class vessel that has had some refitting done to it (which will be discovered as our stories progress). Her owner is unknown, her crew hired on via communiques at a tavern near the shipyard where she is found. Posting with this group will be different for some. RP'ers will be allowed to write for others in the group when writing their posts (This being said, players are encouraged to try to learn about their fellow posters and to try their best to write in the manner that they would approve of.) Joint posting is also encouraged. Just send me a bio for the character you would like to play. As of this date, all positions but the ship's owner and the cook are open. So what would you like to be? The Captain? The Engineer? The Pilot? The Medic/Doctor? The "Muscle"? Or perhaps a Companion (female OR male!)? Passengers are welcome too. Let's not let the 'Verse and its inhabitants fade away! Join us and cause a little trouble of your own! |
