Even now, you only have to *start* studying in town. I take advantage
of this all the time. For example, last turn I sailed into a port city,
the captain formed a new noble and recruited a single peasant while the
new noble started studying combat and then they got back on the boat and
took off. This saved me six days of hanging out by the docks waiting for
the new noble to learn combat. It's much more efficient to study while
you're commuting, as you must know from going to school in LA...

Don't worry, my team lost Saturday too... (big frown)
