This might add to realism, but it certainly adds to book keeping.
I can't see how it enhances the game, beyond making it more fiddly.
Does someone feel horses etc are currently too cheap? I don't think
I'd agree with that; in the playtest I never had enough, finding
that they cost too many noble points to produce in real bulk.
