The problem of course is that markets in distant cities would die
before anyone reached them. Clearly there is some level of economic
activity going on independent of the players in the game. It seems
reasonable to have price and supply of goods fluctuate somewhat
in response to player demand, but only through narrow ranges I
would think.
And I fully agree with other posters that this is something that
is really easy to screw up, and have devious players make piles
of cash.
I think you should just keep the present system.
