This is an Elizabethan sales jingle. These were quite popular for a long time; in the middle of the 17th century, Orlando Gibbons wrote down a bunch of these.
New Oysters!
New Oysters!
New Walefleet Oysters!
At a groat a peck [ groat = 4 pence, peck = 8 pounds]
At a groat a peck
Each oyster worth two pence [ what a good deal! ]
Fetch us bread and wine that we may eat,
Let us lose no time with such good meat,
A banquet for a prince!
