To The Point

September 20-22

* CHANGE OF SITE * CHANGE OF SITE * CHANGE OF SITE * CHANGE OF SITE *

Sharpen your wits, your blade, and your goatee! You'll need them (OK, maybe not the goatees...especially on the ladies) to attend TO THE POINT hosted by the Canton of Cyddlain Downs.

THREE TOURNAMENTS will be held throughout the day on Saturday. In the morning (9:00 a.m.) there will be a three man tourney. The members of each team will be selected by the autocrat, tournament coordinator, and a guest Provost. The second tourney (@1:00) is the "Baroness Anne" tourney. This tourney is specifically designed to test your skill and humor with weapons of Baroness Anne's choice in non-lethal combat. The last tourney of the day (3:00), a second-blood tourney (killing the cream of Atlantia's fencers is a bad thing), will offer the biggest prize.

After a day of sword play what does a rapier fighter need? Why, a grand late period feast for refreshment. Register early! We plan to have this culinary delight sell out for we can accommodate only 140 individuals. Those of you with dietary concerns should contact the Head Cook to determine if feast will meet your needs (Lord John le Burguillun, 803-781-2375 before 10:00 p.m.).

THE SITE and Troll open at 5:00 on Friday and close Sunday at 12:00 noon. This year, the event will be held at the Girl Scout Congaree Program Center. The site has camping and cabin space. Please let us know in your reservation which you prefer. This is a Girl Scout camp and as such must be SAHARA DRY. In addition, because of insurance restrictions, no one under six years of age will be allowed on site.

EVENT FEES $13.00 on site on board / $8.00 on site off board
