Each unit attacks alone, and each unit defends alone.
An attacker is randomly chosen from among the units able to
attack, and a defender is randomly chosen from among the
targets able to be hit. The formula in the rules is then
applied for that single attacker with that (single) attack
strength verses that single defender with that (single) defense
strength.
