I can honestly say that no member of the Brotherhood has done any
of that plebian merchantile activity since around turn 70. Our base
camp pulls in the princely sum of 185 gold a month. We have one
operational mine which we use for producing iron. Our mages have
better things to do than cure the common cold. And the Brotherhood
hangs thieves.

So where did this come from:

Olympia G2 turn 123
Report for The Red Archers [yb6].
Season "Blossom bloom", month 3, in the year 16.

Game totals:
Players: 307
Controlled units: 2,382
Other units: 6,165

Faction [yb6] rank
------------- ----
Characters: 8 124th
Men: 325 78th
Gold: 21,751 71st
Land controlled: 25 158th
Skills known: 40/74 73rd
Spells known: 8/79 167th
Provinces visited: 521/31,919 25th

In fact that reminds me, the Muskateers are behind in their payments.

As for the question are we warmongers or not?? Well of course we are.
Why would anyone become a mercenary if they were not a warmonger.

Think about it. WAR-MONGER one who sells war. Sounds like a good
description of a mercenary to me.

Hold a grudge?? No it is just that the Lords are so popular there is
a queue of people willing to pay us to have a shot at them. And you
peacemongers up north have made that area very bad for business. All
this peace and love and treaties and friendly chatter. How am I meant
to turn a gold piece?? I thought TIBS encouraged all manner of
trading?? Well I trade in chaos and destruction and it is very hard
to do business in Drassa believe me. Nine months trying to open a
branch office so I could get away from the Lords mess and what do I
get?? What do I get?? One lousy escort contract. And he ran out of
trade goods after one trip. One of my men went so loopy from boredom
her tied himself to the ships wheel and refused to move. I had to buy
a new ship because he wouldn't move. I think the poor buggars still
there. That is how boring you have made the whole north-west. Of
course you have had the help of the House of Lords (another
imaginative title) and the Southwest Tollus Company.

The Brotherhood only hold grudges against those who don't pay their
contracts.

We will work for anybody, anywhere.
