I have to agree with Greg here, it is a very common thing on the
Internet for written statements to be misinterpreted and for feelings to
be hurt unintentionally, all those visual clues we rely on so heavily
are absent. I've stepped on toes and had sore feet both. Unless you
don't care how your statements are interpeted, great care has to be
taken to provide those clues in the words used. The question asked was a
rather simple one. The answer provided, which didn't have to be provided
at all (we all read the question, I only saw one answer, I know I didn't
bother to take the time to provide one), was very plain and comepletely
lacking in "polite flowery phrases" leaving the reader having to guess.
I know my immediate response to reading it was "OLEG STRIKES AGAIN!"

So unless you want people to guess, you gotta use all the "ploite and
flowery phrases".
