This attitude will lead to the end of the game. A bug which gives an
advantage to one side is a bad thing for all players. It is not
"terrific" by any stretch of the imagination.

The moderator can't always find the bug based on a poorly-written bug
report. You should cut Rich more slack.

This is certainly true -- the rules say that the players should inform
the *GM*. It was the LotC who introduced the notion that it was fine
for them to abuse the 611 bug because a clue about it was on Bron's
buglist.

As for the rest of your posting, it falls into the "three wrongs don't
make one right, much less 3" category. I'm sad to see that my stunt
convinced everyone that cheating was always OK when I wanted to show
that cheating was always bad. Ah well.

No, the rules do not say that. What the rules *DO* say is that it's
cheating to not tell the GM about a bug. The rules say nothing about
the ethics of using bugs.

If you don't want flamewars on g2-list about bugs, then don't
participate in them.
