Holding a noble doesn't slow down decompasition, I have been holding one and he has disappeared from my inventory (I actually make it a habit to walk around with dead bodies for a 12 months, sadist that I am). I have also tried to make leather from dead enemies skin....a bit like silence of the lambs meets Olympia.
