Aura Blasts

I certainly don't deny Aura Blasts are powerful. And the need
to counter a Necromancer with a Necromancer is certainly a pain.
But surely a powerful mage needs to be able to do *something*
to make it worth those 10 or so NP's you've invested. If aura
blasts were watered down too much, or made too easy to counter,
then it seems to me that magic would be pretty expensive compared
with the potential gains. Sure, magicians could still do interesting
and important stuff, but you have to trade that off against what
10 "plain" nobles or 5 Beastmasters could accomplish. I know
where I'd put my money in an Aura Blast Safe world.
