The last flame war has died down so I can get on with a different
debate that is sure to cause some comment.
The Lords of the Crown have for some time been using the safe haven
of Harn as a base for recruiting and training forces to help the
attack on PLATO on Camaris. I urged the Lords to keep the area
neutral when the Harn War ended. They have not done this and what I
forsaw has come to pass.
They are currently refitting their ship the BorgBuster 21 at Harn.
The Brotherhood of the Red God are currently engaged in a contract to
destroy the Lords naval power in the Camaris Straits under the pay of
the Rimmon Muskateers. As such we see the BorgBuster 21 as an
imminent threat. (If I was a US President I would say a "clear and
present danger"). Now given it is a safe Haven we can't go in after
it. We however can neutralise it as a threat for the time being and
we have. This unfortunately has meant the placing of a barrier over
the sea exit. No one gets in and no one gets out by sea.
In my humble opinion this is not a good state of affairs for the
world in general as the Safe Havens of Provinia hold a special place
in the hearts of all Olympians. The Lords have broken with the spirit
of this long held ideal of Safe Havens if not the Atnerk written law.
I propose that if the Lords of the Crown agree to stop using the Safe
Haven of Harn as a base and remove their permanently stationed nobles
(Lady Chrysania and co) and the garrison from the province outside,
the Brotherhood will remove the barrier.
I further call on all nations bordering or controlling Safe Havens to
do likewise and keep the ideal of Aternerks pure.
Imagine if we were commisioned to engage in land warfare. We could
easily find ourselves in a situation where baricading the safe haven
with barriers was the best solution to neutralise the Lords base.
I hope this situation can be rectified quickly.
