Well, that's easy enough to solve: I don't have "access to the code".

Unfortunately, the people shouting the loudest don't want to believe
that. Hey, I could be the AntiChrist, you never know.

I think this is false. We have seen this bug happen accidentally
twice. It must have happened other times. The second time we did it
accidentally, it was extremely obvious (overloaded ship, took us 3
turns to rescue them).

I did everything I could within my power to get it fixed. I have no
ability to directly fix anything, just like you.

Excuse me? I have not attempted to be high and mighty. In case you
didn't notice, most of this flamewar has been "Greg thinks he is high
and mighty" "No, I don't" "Greg thinks he is high and mighty" "No, I
don't" (repeat 50 times, with feeling). I'm sad to see that you didn't
notice this yet.

Good. I didn't see you complaining last time, but I'm sure that the
next time the LotC uses a bug and causes me great harm, you'll chime
