I pay the upkeep for my workers every month by weaving 5 baskets and selling
them when I drop off my next load of stone for the castle. It makes me self
sufficient so I don't have to worry about getting gold from someone else in my
faction. They are free to follow other pursuits.
Granted, I'm not going to get rich on baskets or pots, but it does pay the
bills.
