This is indeed ancient history and superceeded by the Yellowleaf Accord.
You have described the LotC's clear expertise at defending themselves in
the face of invasion. In the Accord PLATO agree to withdraw all forces and
concerns from Provinia. In return the LotC agreed to cease their conflict
with PLATO. The PLATO support of Harn (specifically excluded from the
Accord) and second invasion of Provinia was the impetus for nullifying that
treaty. It was a clear violation and act of agression and has not been
forgotten.
