Rumor control

*sigh* If we back down to honor a treaty, we're told we're cowards. If
some Eagle member factions respond to an *unprovoked* aggressive attack,
we're "Blood-thirsty." What's it gonna be?

This is rumor control . . . .

No one "blindly" follows Eagle.

Politics with member factions? That's news to me and, I suspect, any other
member faction I know. If you are a member faction, please step up to the
plate and complain and quit yer anonymous bitchin'.

Or maybe this is sour grapes?

We've never sent ANY catapults to ANY enemy shores. This doesn't preclude
that we might in the future, of course.

Your lack of history knowledge is showing. As Eric the Seehawk was
negotiating the peace treaty, we were sailing troops to Azrain to counter
the PLATO-IC threat. In fact, *before* Eric the Seehawk began the
negotiations, we had troops on the ground. We even attacked before the
Yellowleaf Accord was proposed.

We didn't "let PLATO take out" the New Empire. If we had the troops, we
would have sailed the turn after the surprise attack. Alas, we didn't have
the troops and, being completely unprepared for war, we had to produce 800
troops in a hurry.

Likewise, if the troops being sent had arrived before the final PLATO
onslaught, we would have have been able to support Hannibal the
Gold-lover.

What does "nice doggie" mean?
