Yes. It would be too much work for Rich to give back specific skills;
in g1 he occasionally compensated people (ok, once that I know of)
with noble points. In this game I haven't heard of anyone being
compensated. I also lost 1 NP to the "dead while defected" bug.
As to what to do about the bug, well, it's actually an alarming
one. If there are other places in the code which mis-compute the NP
value of a noble, this would be really bad. We've probably see most of
the other cases: dead and rotted, dead and laid to rest, bribed away,
and they work. Given that eating of the dead is quite similar, it
should be an easy fix.
